CPL have introduced new certification procedures for the medical examinations and drug and alcohol screening carried out in accordance with the requirements of the railway group standards (including GO/RT3353/2 Appendix A & GH/RT 4000)

This has become necessary to minimise the fraudulent reproduction of certificates and to prevent the consequent risks to rail safety. We have had extensive discussions with a number of railway operators and major contractors to provide a system which meets safety requirements without interfering with the day-to-day operation of the industry.
